Lately our family has been cutting back on carbs and cereals, but for this promotions I will make an exception.

Plus, Cheerios are part of a heart healthy diet and I really love the Oatmeal Crisp mixed with Greek Yogourt, Yum!

General Mills is giving away free t-shirts again and these ones are colourful and quality Fruit-Of-The Loom shirts.

There are 330,000 free t-shirts available and they come in four different designs.

These shirts come in youth and adult sizes, and can be ordered while supplies last.

To get your very own free shirt, you must first purchase a specially marked  box which carries the free shirt promotion and redeem your codes online

  1. Great ideas, V.J.

I would like to see limit like 2 as well, so more people can get these freebies!

Hope you have better luck next time 🙂

    most disappointed !!!!

  3. I always buy General Mills products ( ex. Cheerios ) and would really have appreciated getting a t-shirt for my little grand-daughter. Perhaps General Mills should provide a greater supply of such a free promotional item, as it is free advertising for them. Also, maybe a limit of 2 t-shirts per household, to give more loyal consumers a chance to get in on the t-shirt promotion across the country.

General Mills is ripping off the consumer. How do we know for sure they ran out of t-shirts? I am not impressed and will probably boycott their products.

  5. You have made some excellent points!

there may be some misleading information here, even though the small print indicates “while quantities last”! How does the consumer know that maybe only a token quantity of T Shirts was ordered, in comparison to the total number of boxes put on the shelves of retailers,

I agree and I hope they (General Mills) make some changes in the future to give customers the bonus that is advertised!

  6. Just bought (June 30, 2015) two different cereals with promo offer of a free T shirt and read the information that promo was good until July 15, 2015. Is this a scam? If offer is good until July 15, 2015 and this is June 30, 2015, then the promo offer should be good until the expiry date, not some other date not known to the consumer at the time of purchasing the product. If the T shirts available do not equal the boxes put on the shelves of the retailer, then only enough cereal boxes should be on the shelves to match the quantity of shirts available OR the specially marked product should be removed from the shelves when the T shirts are gone. An alternative and reasonable approach would be to take orders and then have the T shirts shipped after they become available. It seems like there may be some misleading information here, even though the small print indicates “while quantities last”! How does the consumer know that maybe only a token quantity of T Shirts was ordered, in comparison to the total number of boxes put on the shelves of retailers, and after they are shipped, wonder of wonders, no more T shirts are available. The statement of explanation by General Mills requires trust on the part of the consumer, but how does trust exist when the basic premise of integrity has already been broken? It seems like GM believes they can advertise like this and nothing bad will happen. But it is possible that some distrust in the marketplace can lead to a situation where all trust is gone. Then it is not possible for the company to continue selling its product and thus it ceases to operate. Don’t let this happen to GM because of mistrust in the marketplace. A good reputation takes a long time to build up, but only a short time to be destroyed. Think twice before using some smart wiggle language produced by legal advisers who are only thinking about the courts and not the consumer who trusts a Company to not only do the right thing but also the reasonable one! What a way to ruin a good company’s reputation for honesty in merchandising! At the very least a discount coupon, equal to the value of a T shirt, on the purchase of one of General Mills other products should be offered. Shame, SHAME, Shame, SHAME on you at GM. I just hope that the cereal is OK. Some advice, if you are interested, – don’t be so cute the next time you run a promotion. Eventually it will catch up to you. As a wise person once said – you can fool some of the people, some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people, all of the time!!!

These Free T-Shirts should be replaced with another Free Item for these poor kids that has been disappointed cause that is crap. We can always change Brand Names of Cereal to purchase too. General Mills you guys should stand up to your words and give us people another free gift offer or even replacement of that offer with a coupon of free boxes of Cereal. Some of us had bought multiple boxes to get tshirts for our kids… Upset customer

  8. Caroline Leitch says:

If you run out of t-shirts and the promotion is over, you should pull the cereals boxes off the shelves. Very misleading. I bought 4 boxes of lucky charms and Now I have lucky charms coming out of my wazoo.

  9. BRENDA MILNER says:

    same stuff happened again

  10. I’m so disappointed in this stupid free t-shirt. A hoax. I just bought this cereal just for the t-shirt.

Wasted my money and previous time.

  11. Excellent point, Darlene.

Wonder if there is a delay in distribution. Certainly not fair.

Hope you have better luck next time 🙂

  12. Darlene Jacques says:

I just bought the cereal a week ago, so was disappointed that there were no shirts left, before I even got a chance to get one. I am in Victoria BC does that have anything to do with the reason that there are no shirts left. If you do this promotion again perhaps you should allot a certain amount of tshirts per province so we have a chance at getting one. Because we get the promotional cereal after the east of Canada, there probably weren’t any let before we even got the cereal in our stores due to the shipping time etc. Thanks.

  13. P am Longstaff says:

Very disappointed that the free shirts are gone.. I picked up 2 more boxes of honey nut Cheerios to get a tee shirt for each of the boys. Just in case you may find another box of shirts in the warehouse could you please email me so the boys will not be disappointed. Thank you.

  14. paul gallant says:

  15. Hi Mary,

    I know, so frustrating.

There should have been more shirts. Unfortunately General Mills has the fine print on the box ….OR while supplies last!

wish they would make enough to supply everyone!

  16. mary cleary says:

I just came on the internet to order the T shirt to find out they are all gone.
It is only June 4th.It was supposed to end July 15th.I only purchased the cheerios
last week. I thought this was what would happen.

  17. Christine Neil says:

Yes, I think the same about the cereal, BUT G-SON is STILL WAITING FOR HIS T-SHIRT also!!!! Why is it taking so long…….

  18. I am very disappointed that the promo is ended two weeks before the date on the box.Honey Nut Cheerio s are still great.

  19. George tournemille says:

    I love Oatmeal Crisp !!

  20. I hear you Gerry,

Sadly the t-shirts are gone (while supplies last)

I agree, that General Mills should only sell as many boxes, as there are shirts available.

and everyone who buys a box, should get a free shirt!

  21. Gerry Laframboise says:

T shirts are indicated as available till July 15th and here we are in May and you tell us no more T-Shirts. How inconsiderate can you get. Good way to get me and my family to lose our incentive to buy your products.
    Gerry Laframboise
