Toonies For Tummies Coupons Feed Children in Ontario
When my children leave for school in the morning, they have had their breakfast and a delicious lunch and snacks in their backpacks.
Sometimes it’s easy to forget that many Canadian children are arriving at school hungry and with an empty stomach.
Their families might not be able to afford a nutritious breakfast or lunch.
Not only are these children hungry, but their marks are suffering as well.
A recent study showed that Grade 7 & Grade 8 students that enjoy morning breakfasts were achieving better test scores and grades.
For example:
Independent work ( 970% VS. 56%) problem solving (86% vs, 53%) and class participation (72% vs 60%)
This survey clearly shows that a good breakfast makes a huge difference in children’s ability to perform.
That’s why I love to see the yearly Toonie for tummies coupon booklet in stores.
I picked one up yesterday at my Ontario Foodland Store, and it’s a great reminder to help support this local program.
Local schools will receive funds to purchase breakfast items like cereal, milk and fruit to offer children a meal before classes start in the morning. So far the programs has raised over $85 million to feed students.
The Toonies for Tummies booklet is available for an optional $2 donation. (or more if you wish)
Proceeds from the sale go to the Grocery Foundation to raise money to feed kids in your area.
For the $2 donated you will receive a coupons booklet worth $11.25 in savings and I am always able to use most of the coupons I find inside.
This year’s savings include Canadian brands like Dempster’s, NatureEgg, Highliner fish, Dempster’s Bread, Allen’s Juice, Christie belvita breakfast snacks, Nescafe and more.
This booklet is a win/win in my opinion.
So if you go shopping this week remember for grab one of these coupon booklets make a donation.
