Summers in Ontario are hot and humid and the best way to cool off and have a fantastic time doing it,
is to visit one of your local waterparks. They offer fun for the whole family, including thrilling body or tube slides, wave pools, Toddler splash areas, lazy rivers and more. Pack your bathing suits, kids and sunscreen and head to one of these great outdoor and indoor waterparks in Ontario
Outdoor Waterparks
Bingeman’s Big Splash Park, Kitchener Waterloo, open from June to September. Find a wave pool, waterslides, and an indoor entertainment complex.
Canada’s Wonderland, Splash Works Toronto. Exciting fun with numerous slides, large outdoor wave pool, kids pools, and included in your visit, all of Canadas Wonderland “dry” amusements rides, shows and entertainment.
Calypso Park, Ottawa. This is Canada’s biggest theme waterpark and one day is not enough time to pack in all the wet fun there is to be found! “Adrenaline”, “Vertigo” and “Black Hole” are just some of the names that promise non-stop thrills.
Wild Water Works, Hamilton Waterpark. This is a smaller park that still offers great fun for the whole family. Cool off in one of Canada’s largest outdoor wave pools, adrenaline pumping waterslides or float around the Eazy River.

You can save on your next trip to the waterpark by looking for coupons on their website.Many parks also offer a discount if you purchase tickets in advance Online.
If you live close to a waterpark you may even be able to purchase Family or season tickets, which often cost little more than a single admission and you can use them a whole season.
Also look for coupons on sites like Attractions Ontario.
Bring Your Own Food
Many waterparks are offering Franchise Restaurants like Pizza Pizza, Subway and others. Prices are most often higher than in the regular Restaurants, but are still reasonable. Check the waterpark Restaurants before you go to find out the Dining options available.
If you want to save money and eat healthier food, bring your own cooler (loaded with ice and picnic items like sandwiches, salads, fruit and veggies.
Many parks allow outside food (check first) and have a picnic area, or picnic tables and you will be able to enjoy at least an inexpensive family lunch.
Drinks are must items to bring from home.
Kids need to stay hydrated on a hot day and bottled water, juice and pop at the Waterpark may be $2- $3 and more a bottle.
For a family 0f 4 or 5 people, bringing your own drinks may save up to $50
